Festival of India || Portage County Cultural Fest || Diwali and Holi celebrations

SHAMA, Inc. sponsors events in Wisconsin for three purposes. The first is to educate people about the culture of India. Second, to raise money for our projects in India. Third, to have fun!

Dancer twirlingThe 32nd Festival of India will be on Saturday, September 28, 2019

The Festival will present activities, performers, speakers, a bazaar, and a wonderful Indian meal. Hundreds of people attend the Festival each year, and everyone has lots of fun while learning about India and seeing old friends.

The Portage County Cultural Fest offers another opportunity for SHAMA, Inc. to teach local people about India through dance, food, and items for sale. We also had a booth at the Cultural Fest in Marshfield.

SHAMA, Inc. participates in the Stevens Point Jazz Fest and has helped raise money for other organizations, such as ADIRE and the Stevens Point Family Crisis Center.

We are grateful for the assistance we get in many of our events from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point South Asia Society.
